    Accent Modification helps individuals communicate clearly and easily in professional, social, or educational settings. It does not "eliminate" an accent, but rather enhances understanding and confidence in interactions through personalized techniques focusing on pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, and stress patterns.

Evaluations

You will participate in a holistic and comprehensive evaluation to identify strengths and areas for growth. At the end of the evaluation, you will have a personalized therapeutic plan for your unique needs.

The evaluation includes:

  • Interview with you

  • Interviews with friends or family (If needed)

  • Formal tests (i.e., receive a score)

  • Informal tests (i.e., tests that gather information without a score)

  • Collaborative goal-setting

AugmentAbility Speech Therapy conducts Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations and therapy to find clients an affirming and functional communication method. Clients who benefit from AAC may participate in a trial to find the best system for them.
